Delta launches Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

News

Delta has launched its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), the first plan of its kind for our organisation and an important step in our reconciliation journey.

The Reflect RAP formalises our commitment to taking meaningful action toward reconciliation. It provides a clear framework for how we listen, reflect and learn as we work to build genuine and enduring relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Developed in collaboration with our people, the RAP is grounded in our organisational values and focuses on:

  • Deepening our understanding of Culture and Country.
  • Building strong, respectful relationships with First Nations stakeholders.
  • Taking meaningful action across four key focus areas: Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance.

These actions work together to embed reconciliation, respect and inclusion into our workplace culture, guiding how we work, learn and grow as an organisation.

The RAP features artwork by Worimi/Birripai Darkinjung artist Matt Syron. Gapuunirri Dunggu Wura (The Large Ant Digs) tells the story of Delta’s journey, identity and the relationships that guide it. Commissioned as part of the Reflect RAP commitment, the artwork reflects Delta’s connection to Country and Culture.

Delta’s Chief Executive, Richard Wrightson said, “Reconciliation must start with truth-telling, listening and learning. As a major employer and essential service provider, we are uniquely positioned to make a significant and meaningful contribution to improving reconciliation outcomes.”
