Richard Wrightson

Richard Wrightson

Chief Executive

Richard Wrightson was appointed as the Chief Executive of the Delta group of companies, including Delta Electricity and Delta Coal in August 2023. Richard has also taken up a position as a Director of each of the Delta group companies.

Prior to Delta, Richard was the General Manager Strategy at Lochard Energy. Richard has over 30 years of operational and trading experience in the energy sector including with AGL Energy, as Executive General Manager of Wholesale Markets. Richard has experience across all forms of electricity generation, including distributed energy resources, running AGL’s virtual power station project and extending to experience with nuclear power stations while employed by Nuclear Electric in the United Kingdom.

Richard is an experienced senior executive with deep experience in the generation, supply and retailing of electricity and gas in Australia. Richard is a passionate advocate for the energy industry and the important role it plays in the Australian economy.

Chief Financial Officer

Vince is the Chief Financial Officer of the Delta group of companies. Vince has worked in Finance roles in the electricity industry for 31 years and has extensive experience in financial management and accounting. Vince established Delta’s finance function following the acquisition of the Vales Point business from the NSW Government and has integrated the Chain Valley finance function to consolidate the Finance team across Delta’s assets.

Vince is responsible for accounting, tax, financial management, statutory reporting, debt management, insurance, financial planning and budgeting, purchasing, material supply and treasury and settlements functions. Vince holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Certified Practising Accountant.

David Morris

Chief Operating Officer

David Morris was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Delta Electricity in July 2023. David has extensive experience in power station operations and Executive Business Management with over 38 years of experience. David has been a member of Delta’s Executive team for 13 years and has successfully led the organisation through privatisation, sale processes and significant changes in the electricity market.

David started his career in 1987 at Wallerawang Power Station and, through his natural leadership and technical capabilities, he quickly moved through the roles of Power Station Operator at Mt Piper Power Station and Production Manager at Vales Point Power Station.

David achieved a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Commercial Law and a Bachelor of Business. David is also a graduate of the London Business School’s Senior Executive Program.

David is an experienced senior executive with extensive operational and business experience in the generation industry, advocating the importance of reliable energy generation to support the Australian Economy through the energy transition.

Chief People Officer

Clair brings over 25 years experience in People & Culture, with a career that spans leadership roles at CommBank, Vodafone, and in specialised consultancy. Clair’s extensive expertise has shaped her approach to building people-first strategies, shaping positive culture and driving leadership excellence.

Clair joined Delta in 2007 and in 2024, she was appointed as Chief People Officer.

A strong advocate for diversity, Clair is especially committed to encouraging women to pursue careers in the energy industry and supporting their growth within the sector. Clair leads our people initiatives with a focus on fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth, ensuring Delta remains a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation for years to come.

Company Secretary - General Counsel

Steve is an experienced corporate lawyer and governance professional. He  joined Delta in 2005 and was appointed as Company Secretary in 2015 and as General Counsel in 2022 where he leads the Legal, Risk and Governance functions.

Steve is an experienced senior executive and brings over 30 years experience in Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Governance and Human Resource Management.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Laws from Southern Cross University and also holds In-House Counsel Certification by the Association of Corporate Counsel. Steve is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia.

Chief Information Officer

Marianne was appointed as the Chief Information Officer for Delta Power & Energy in December 2024.

Marianne is an accomplished business and technology executive who specialises in developing and delivering strategies to harmonize information technology, people, and business processes, thereby elevating companies to new levels of efficiency, growth, and profitability.

Before joining Delta, Marianne had a credible consultancy career spanning various industries, including Banking, Finance, and Health sectors. Her 30+ years of experience encompass extensive business and digital transformations, 
mergers & acquisitions, and FinTech start-ups, with a focus on IT and business strategy, business synergy, portfolio delivery, and target operating models.

Marianne is an industry-certified PRINCE2 Practitioner and ITIL Foundation Practitioner and is proud to be a member of the Sydney Innovation Advisory Council, which enables access to emerging technologies, key innovations, and emergent partners.

Executive Manager Business Improvement

Stuart is the Executive Manager Business Improvement of the Delta group of companies. Stuart has worked in Finance related roles in the electricity industry for 20+ years and has extensive experience in financial management and business strategy. Stuart established Delta Coal’s finance function following its acquisition by Delta Electricity in 2019 and he is currently managing Delta’s energy transition opportunities.

Stuart is responsible for business improvement and development. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Western Sydney and is a Certified Practising Accountant.
