New projects supporting vibrant local communities

News

New community spaces, creative projects and learning programs are on the way for the communities of Chain Valley Bay, Gwandalan, Mannering Park and Summerland Point, thanks to the 2025-26 Chain Valley Colliery Community Funding Program.

The program, a joint initiative between Delta and Central Coast Council, supports not-for-profit organisations with grants of up to $30,000 to deliver projects that improve community infrastructure and services.

This year, over $58,000 has been awarded across seven projects, selected from 10 applications requesting more than $120,000. Applications were assessed by a Community Advisory Panel made up of local residents, Council and Delta representatives.

These projects highlight the diverse ways local groups are working to enhance community spaces, support creativity and learning, and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Several projects also have a strong focus on supporting young people, helping them build skills, explore creative interests and connect with others.
