Supporting our surf lifesaving community
We are proud to support our local surf lifesaving community and the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping our beaches safe and put community safety first, every day.
On Sunday 27 October, we were honoured to take part in the launch of Catherine Hill Bay Surf Life Saving Club’s new inflatable rescue boat — a critical piece of equipment that enhances the Club’s ability to perform lifesaving operations along the coastline.
Our Acting Chief Executive, Andrew O’Farrell, who is also a qualified volunteer surf lifesaver, spoke to the community at the event.
“It is an honour to support the local surf lifesaving community who provide an essential service through their dedicated volunteers,” Andrew said.
“Their commitment to safety and supporting the community reflect values we work to uphold at Delta – service, teamwork and supporting the wellbeing of our communities. We’re proud to support the Club in making a real difference.”
In a celebratory moment, our Executive Manager Business Improvement Stuart Ambridge helped officially name the rescue boat “Hall,” in tribute to the Hall family’s remarkable 120 years of service to the Club and their lasting impact on surf lifesaving in the region.
Supporting initiatives like this is part of Delta’s broader commitment to giving back to the communities we operate in. From championing safety, education, sustainability and inclusiveness to backing critical essential services, we are proud to be part of community initiatives that make a real difference to people’s lives.
We look forward to continuing our support of Catherine Hill Bay Surf Life Saving Club and the incredible volunteers who put community safety first, every day.
