Find a rewarding role – Mariah’s journey to Asset Management Specialist
Meet Mariah Browne, Asset Management Specialist at Vales Point Power Station.
When Mariah started her studies in chemical engineering, she knew one thing for sure –she didn’t want to be stuck behind a desk. She wanted to be on the ground, working hands on and solving real problems. Today, as an Asset Management Specialist at our Vales Point Power Station, that’s exactly what she does.
Mariah’s journey with Delta started seven years ago when she joined our Graduate Program, undertaking studies in Chemical Engineering. Since then, she’s carved out a dynamic, fulfilling career – one grounded in practical work, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Now a vital part of our team, Mariah provides technical guidance for the operation and maintenance of the chemical plant. It’s a role that allows her to stay close to the action, just as she hoped.
“I knew I wanted to work in industry, not in an office job where I was consulting from a distance,” Mariah says.
“Being in the plant, seeing how it all comes together, and actually getting my hands dirty – that’s what makes it so worthwhile.”
Mariah’s passion is clear, and her advice to other women considering a similar path is simple – go for it.
“It’s so rewarding working with the team and with the plant — I can’t recommend it enough.”
We’re proud of Mariah’s journey and grateful to have her as part of our team. If you’re looking for a role that’s hands-on, challenging, and deeply rewarding, check out Careers at Delta.
